Sometimes the difference between a child staying in school and dropping out is the ability to meet basic educational needs.
A learner may have the determination to study but lack school fees. Another may attend school without the books and stationery needed to participate fully. Another may struggle to concentrate because they have gone through the school day without a proper meal.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda seeks to address these challenges together. Through this project, we provide school fees, scholastic materials, and school lunch to children from underprivileged and underserved communities.
The project focuses on children joining secondary school and supports their educational journey through the six years of secondary education. We also seek to support learners who progress to tertiary institutions for skills development and certification.
Objectives:
To help vulnerable children access secondary education.
To provide school fees for children facing financial hardship.
To supply essential scholastic materials.
To provide school meals that support children's participation and concentration.
To improve school retention and completion.
To support learners pursuing tertiary education and skills training.
To help young people obtain skills and certifications that may expand their future opportunities.
A donation can provide more than a school expense. It can provide a child with a chance to learn, remain in school, and continue pursuing their dreams.
