From School Fees to Skills and Certification
Our vision extends beyond helping a child attend school for one term. We want vulnerable learners to have an opportunity to progress through education and eventually acquire skills that can help them build independent and productive lives.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda's project supports children from underserved communities with school fees, scholastic materials, and school lunch. Our target begins with children joining secondary school and continues through the six years of secondary education.
After secondary school, eligible learners may require additional support to access tertiary institutions, vocational programs, and skills-based training. We therefore seek to create a pathway from basic educational support to practical skills and professional certification.
This approach recognizes that completing school is an important milestone, but acquiring employable skills can be equally important for a young person's long-term future.
Objectives:
To support vulnerable children entering secondary education.
To help learners remain in school throughout secondary education.
To provide school fees and essential learning materials.
To support school feeding for vulnerable learners.
To help deserving students transition into tertiary institutions.
To promote vocational skills development and professional certification.
To create opportunities for young people to develop skills that can contribute to future livelihoods.
Every contribution can become part of a longer journey—from a child entering secondary school to a young person equipped with knowledge, skills, and confidence for the future.
