Education Beyond Poverty

Education can open doors that poverty often keeps closed. Yet for children from vulnerable communities, the cost of staying in school can become a major obstacle to their dreams.

Good Cause Foundation Uganda is committed to helping children overcome these barriers through financial and educational support. Our project provides school fees, scholastic materials, and school lunch to children from underprivileged and underserved communities.

The project focuses on learners entering secondary school and aims to support them throughout the six years of secondary education. We also recognize that education should not end at secondary school. For young people who wish to pursue vocational or tertiary training, we aim to provide support that enables them to gain practical skills and certifications.

Our approach is designed to support children not only to enter school but also to remain, complete their education, and prepare for meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom.

Objectives:

To improve access to secondary education for children from vulnerable households.

To support learners throughout their secondary education journey.

To provide school fees and scholastic supplies to children in need.

To improve access to nutritious school meals.

To support transition from secondary education to tertiary and vocational institutions.

To equip young people with practical skills and certifications that can contribute to sustainable livelihoods.
