One Child, One Future: Educate to Liberate

Every child deserves the opportunity to sit in a classroom, learn without hunger, access the materials they need, and complete their education. Unfortunately, children from poor and underserved communities can face financial barriers that interrupt their education and place their dreams at risk.

Good Cause Foundation's education project aims to provide a helping hand to these children by supporting school fees, scholastic materials, and school lunch. The project will focus on children entering secondary school and support them throughout the six years of secondary education, while also helping young people entering tertiary institutions for skills training and certification.

Objectives of the Project

To support school enrollment for children whose families cannot afford the costs associated with secondary education.

To keep vulnerable children in school by helping families meet school fee requirements and reducing interruptions caused by financial hardship.

To provide scholastic materials including books, pens, pencils and other essential learning resources.

To improve children's concentration and participation by providing school lunch to learners who may otherwise attend school hungry.

To support completion of secondary education by providing continued assistance to learners throughout their six years of secondary school.

To support tertiary education and skills development by helping young people access institutions where they can gain practical skills and certification.

To create pathways toward a more secure future by ensuring vulnerable learners have opportunities to gain education, skills and qualifications.

For a child living in poverty, a school fee payment can mean remaining in class instead of staying at home. A book can mean being able to complete an assignment. A school meal can mean being able to concentrate through an afternoon lesson.
