One Week Until Reopening: Stand With a Child Today

By Jeroen Ethlen | Project Leader

In just seven days, classrooms across Uganda will once again be filled with the voices of children ready to learn.

As Term III approaches on Monday, 14 September 2026, we are making a heartfelt and urgent appeal to our GlobalGiving community to help vulnerable children return to school with the materials and nourishment they need.

We thank every donor, partner, friend and supporter who has already stood with our children. Your generosity has demonstrated that when people come together, even small acts of kindness can create meaningful change.

Today, we are asking you to help us go further.

At Masimbi High School, St. Bernard Mwenge Primary School, and Living Hope Junior School, many learners still need basic scholastic materials and support through school feeding programs.

Before Term III Begins, We Need Your Help

We are working to provide:

  • Exercise books and textbooks
  • Pens, pencils, rulers and mathematical sets
  • School bags and essential learning supplies
  • ‍ Teaching and learning materials
  • Nutritious meals for vulnerable children

A child should not have to choose between going to school and having the materials needed to participate. A hungry child should not have to struggle through lessons simply because there is no meal.

Your donation can help remove some of these barriers.

It does not matter whether your contribution is large or small. Every donation brings us closer to helping another child return to school prepared and confident.

We Have Just One Week

The reopening date is approaching quickly. This is our opportunity to act before children return to their classrooms.

To our previous supporters: please stand with us again.

To those discovering our work for the first time: please join us in giving children the opportunity to learn with dignity.

Together, we can make this new term different.

Let's put learning materials in children's hands.
Let's put nutritious meals on their plates.
Let's put hope in their hearts.

Please support our GlobalGiving campaign today and help us reach more children before Term III begins.

One child. One opportunity. One brighter future.
