Nourish a Child, Support Learning: School Feeding

By Jawanghe Joseph | Project Leader

As Term III of the 2026 academic year begins on Monday, 14 September 2026, we are reaching out with a heartfelt appeal to our donors, partners, friends, and supporters to help vulnerable children return to school nourished, prepared and ready to learn.

First, we extend our deepest appreciation to everyone who has supported our children and schools. Your previous contributions have brought hope to children, supported their education, provided essential supplies and helped create moments of dignity and happiness. Thank you for believing in the power of education and for standing with children who need support most.

As Masimbi High School, St. Bernard Mwenge Primary School, and Living Hope Junior School prepare to reopen, many vulnerable children face another challenge beyond the shortage of scholastic materials: access to nutritious meals while at school.

A child who comes to school hungry may struggle to concentrate, participate in lessons and remain engaged throughout the school day. Supporting school feeding programs can help children have the energy they need to learn, participate and thrive.

Help Us Support School Feeding

Through your donation, we hope to support school feeding programs that can provide vulnerable learners with nutritious meals during the school term.

We are also appealing for support toward essential scholastic materials, including:

  • Exercise books and textbooks
  • Pens, pencils and rulers
  • Mathematical sets
  • School bags
  • Other essential learning materials

Your donation can make a child’s return to school different.

A meal can give a hungry child the energy to learn.
A book can give a child the opportunity to study.
A school bag can restore confidence and dignity.
Together, these simple forms of support can help a child remain focused on education.

As the new term approaches, we kindly appeal to our previous donors to continue supporting these schools and children, and we invite new supporters to join us in this important journey.

Let us work together to make Term III a term of hope, nourishment, learning and opportunity.

Please support our GlobalGiving school feeding and education programs and help us reach more children before schools reopen. Every contribution matters.
