By Jawanghe Joseph | Project Leader
During this reporting period, Good Cause Foundation successfully distributed scholastic materials to 30 vulnerable children at St. Bernard Mwenge Primary School in Uganda. The distribution included exercise books and pens to help children continue their education with the basic learning materials they need.
Activities Completed
Identified 30 vulnerable children in need of educational support.
Procured and distributed exercise books and pens.
Engaged with teachers and school leadership to ensure the materials reached the intended beneficiaries.
Continued promoting our mission of improving access to quality education through the One Child, One Future: Educate to Liberate initiative.
Results and Impact
The support has enabled 30 children to attend school with greater confidence and readiness to learn. Teachers reported that the children were excited to receive the materials, and many expressed renewed motivation to participate in class. By reducing the burden on families who struggle to purchase school supplies, this intervention has helped remove a key barrier to education.
Challenges
The need for educational support remains far greater than our current resources can meet. Many more children still lack essential school supplies, including uniforms, school bags, and learning materials. Continued funding is needed to expand our reach and support more vulnerable learners.
Next Steps
Our next goal is to provide educational materials to additional vulnerable children and strengthen partnerships with schools and community leaders. We also aim to expand support to include school uniforms, mentorship activities, and other resources that help children remain in school and succeed academically.
