Children's Seminar to Enhance Academic Performance

By Jawanghe Joseph | Project Leader

As part of our commitment under the One Child, One Future: Educate to Liberate initiative, we successfully conducted a Children’s Academic Performance Enhancement Seminar aimed at improving learners’ study skills, motivation, and overall school performance.

The seminar brought together pupils from different classes, teachers, and education facilitators to engage in interactive learning sessions focused on effective study habits, reading techniques, time management, and goal setting. The sessions were designed to help children understand how to learn better, not just harder.

Key Activities Conducted

  • Guidance on effective study skills and revision techniques
  • Motivation talks on the importance of education and staying focused
  • Reading and comprehension improvement exercises
  • Interactive question-and-answer sessions with facilitators
  • Career inspiration talks to help learners set future goals

Impact So Far

  • Increased motivation and confidence among learners
  • Improved understanding of study techniques and exam preparation
  • Greater participation and engagement in classroom learning
  • Strengthened relationship between learners, teachers, and facilitators

Why This Matters

Many children struggle not because of lack of ability, but due to limited exposure to effective learning strategies. This seminar helped bridge that gap by equipping learners with practical skills that can improve their academic performance and long-term success.

Looking Ahead

We plan to continue organizing similar seminars and:

  • Reach more schools and learners in the community
  • Provide follow-up mentorship and academic support
  • Strengthen collaboration with teachers to track student progress
  • Integrate life skills and career guidance into future sessions

We remain committed to empowering children with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

We sincerely thank all our GlobalGiving supporters and valued funders for your continued generosity and belief in this mission. Your support is helping transform the future of many children, and we deeply appreciate it.
