One Child, One Future – Educate to Liberate

Through the One Child, One Future: Educate to Liberate initiative, we are excited to share a major milestone in our work to improve education access and quality. With the support of our partners and community, we have successfully helped establish a well-organized and functional library at St. Bernard Mwenge Primary School.

This library is already transforming the learning environment for pupils by providing access to reading materials that were previously unavailable. Learners now have a safe and quiet space where they can read, study, and explore knowledge beyond the classroom. Teachers have also reported improved reading habits, increased curiosity, and better participation among students.

Impact So Far

  • Improved access to learning and reading materials for pupils
  • Increased interest in reading and self-learning among children
  • A dedicated space that supports literacy development and academic growth
  • Strengthened school learning environment for both teachers and learners

Why This Matters

Many children in rural schools lack access to books and structured reading spaces. This library helps bridge that gap by creating opportunities for children to develop literacy skills early, which is essential for long-term academic success and empowerment.

Looking Ahead

We plan to continue supporting the library by:

  • Adding more books and learning materials across different subjects
  • Encouraging reading clubs and literacy activities
  • Supporting teachers with resources to integrate library use into lessons
  • Expanding similar library initiatives to other schools in need

This achievement reflects our commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed through education.

We sincerely thank to GlobalGiving team and all those who have been supporting us—your generosity and commitment have made this milestone possible, and we deeply appreciate your continued support.
