Keeping 2,000+ Children in School in Uganda

By Joseph Jawanghe | Project Leader

Thanks to your generous support, our project has successfully helped over 2,000 vulnerable children in Uganda stay in school. By providing scholastic materials, school fees, and student workshops, we have directly reduced dropout rates, improved attendance, and empowered children to pursue their dreams.

Why This Matters

In Uganda, many children risk leaving school due to poverty, lack of supplies, and unpaid fees. Missing even a few days can derail their education and limit future opportunities. Your support ensures that these children have the tools, encouragement, and confidence to stay in school and reach their full potential.

Impact at a Glance

  • 2,000+ children supported across primary and secondary schools

  • 100% received scholastic materials: books, pens, uniforms, backpacks

  • School fees paid for the most vulnerable learners

  • Student workshops on life skills, hygiene, child rights, and goal-setting

  • Improved attendance and retention rates, confirmed by teachers

“I used to think school would end for me. Now I know I can finish and help others.” – Amina, 13

Amina, like many children in our program, now attends school regularly, participates actively in workshops, and dreams of becoming a teacher.

How Your Donations Were Used

Your contributions were carefully allocated to maximize impact:

  • Scholastic materials – 40%

  • School fees – 35%

  • Workshops and mentorship – 20%

  • Monitoring and coordination – 5%

Every dollar directly supports a child’s education and future success.

Lessons Learned

  • Rising school supply costs require early planning

  • Community involvement strengthens accountability and ensures children benefit

  • The growing demand highlights the urgent need for expansion

What’s Next

With continued support, we plan to:

  • Reach an additional 1,000 children

  • Expand mentorship and career guidance workshops

  • Introduce digital learning tools

  • Strengthen partnerships with schools and local leaders for sustainability

Thank You

Because of your generosity, 2,000 children are still learning, dreaming, and building brighter futures. Your support is not just helping them attend school—it is transforming lives, families, and communities in Uganda.

Together, we are making education a reality for every child.
