We’re thrilled to share another update on the incredible progress we’re making in protecting Ol Pejeta’s rhino populations. Your continued support is the driving force behind our achievements, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership.
Rhino Population Growth
We’re delighted to announce a significant increase in our rhino population! We now have a total of 217 rhinos under our care – 169 eastern black rhinos, 46 southern white rhinos, and the last two remaining northern white rhinos. This remarkable growth is a testament to the tireless efforts of our dedicated team and the effectiveness of our conservation strategies.
Enhanced Rhino Monitoring
To further strengthen our rhino protection efforts, we've expanded our wildlife monitoring team by onboarding 21 new members. These individuals have undergone rigorous training in various aspects of wildlife conservation, including animal behavior, technology, and anti-poaching techniques. These new wildlife monitors will significantly enhance our ability to protect our precious rhinos and the other wildlife that calls Ol Pejeta home.
Your support has been instrumental in achieving these positive results. We are committed to continuing our vital work to safeguard Ol Pejeta’s rhinos and look forward to sharing more updates with you in the future.
