Summary

In our community many children have been traumatized by the loss of their parents, abandoned due to extreme poverty . Mentor Orphans Africa provides shelters, food , Free Education and Healthy care to these vulnerable , orphaned children, Among these are HIV/ AIDS victims. due to the covid-19 pandemic, we cannot give basic needs due to situation changes in our country of limited movement, doubled prices.Apparently, our children feed on porridge for both breakfast and supper.

Challenge

Immediately after registering covid-19 cases, the country went into a lock down, its now two months and days. limited movement, increasing food prices, and curfew, its been hard for us to provide essential needs to the vulnerable children.Apparently, our dear children are feeding on porridge for breakfast and supper. What is left can only push us for a few days. not forgetting our HIV/ AIDS children who need proper feeding for their day to day treatment which has also become scarcely available.

Solution

The project will provide proper healthy care , cater for nutritious meals, day to day usable materials eg, clean water, soap, sanitizers, face masks etc to the vulnerable children.

Long-Term Impact

The project will provide proper healthy care for the HIV AIDS victims , food for the 120 vulnerable children which help them to pass through this pandemic when they are alive and healthy, this will give them hope for a brighter future and understand that they are loved, cared for as they will be able to do the same to those in need. The project targets to contribute to the scaling down of the level of deaths for food in this covid -19 pandemic as many people have died due to lack of food .
