Project Report | Oct 15, 2014
Bonus Day & September Progress

By OCEF | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Another Bonus Day has come! The matching begins at 9:00 am EDT, TODAY, October 15th and ends when $75,000 matching fund runs out. 30% of every donation, up to $1,000 per donor, will be matched. To help the children win as much fund as possible, we want to get every donation matched! So, please donate TODAY at 9am or as early as you can before time runs out!

A lot has occurred in the past month. From September 22-25th, together with the director of the local education bureau, our volunteers visited three schools and several students’ families in Tongling, Anhui. We have decided to help two elementary schools build school libraries. The students at these schools are recorded as potential aid-recipients and their financial aid will be determined after a committee of volunteers discusses their situations.

Meanwhile, we launched our 2014-15 Girls’ Education program (please refer to our last report for details: http://www.globalgiving.org/donate/16271/overseas-china-education-foundation/reports/).A total of twenty-seven female students attending elementary and middle schools will participate. We also finished building libraries for six elementary schools in Hunan, Jiangsu, Hubei, Gansu, and Sichuan and buying books for five elementary schools in Dingtao, Shandong.

In the next half-month, we will be distributing the first portion of our financial aid fund of the 2014 fall season. For more instant updates, please visit our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/OCEF.org.

As always, we appreciate your support and your confidence in us.

Sincerely,
Overseas China Education Foundation
