Two thirds of the needed funds have been raised toward the $15,000 goal to start the installation of the Occupational Therapy Model Apartment at Fundación Triada in Tumbaco, Ecuador. Patients with neurological disabilities will greatly benefit from having this apartment simulating living quarters, where they will experience and train for an autonomous life by learning how to carry out daily activities such as preparing a meal, eating, making a bed, bathing and getting dressed by themselves. The project will benefit 60 to 80 patients and their families. Their vision is to serve 200 patients by the end of the year 2020. See below architectural rendering of project.
Ecuadorian Volunteers Association recently held its annual fundraising event. A video of the work of Fundación Triada was presented at the event and photos of the architectural renderings for the Occupational Therapy Model Apartment were shown. Please watch video with English subtitles that is posted below. Generous contributions were received at the event. However, we still need your support to reach the Finish Line.
