The Oasis center is a transformative initiative designed to provide a safe, healing-centered environment where young people can focus on their mental, emotional, and personal well-being. Created as an extension of the G.I.R.L. Power Mentoring Program, the Oasis Center serves as a dedicated space for youth to step away from external stressors and engage in intentional self-reflection, growth, and restoration. The project is grounded in a trauma-informed and holistic approach, recognizing that many youth face challenges related to emotional instability, identity development, and adverse life experiences that require both support and structured intervention.
At the heart of the Oasis Center Project is the philosophy of “Restoring From the Inside Out,” which emphasizes that lasting change begins within. Through guided healing circles, mentorship, therapeutic activities, and wellness-focused programming, participants are given the tools to process emotions, build resilience, and develop a stronger sense of self. The center includes thoughtfully designed spaces that promote calmness, reflection, and healing, allowing youth to feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.
As a result of participating in the Oasis Center Project, youth demonstrate increased self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, and stronger interpersonal connections. The project not only addresses immediate mental health and behavioral needs but also equips participants with lifelong skills that support academic success, positive decision making, and overall well being. The G.I.R.L. Power Oasis Center Project continues to serve as a vital resource in restoring and empowering youth, ensuring they are prepared to thrive from the inside out. We are doing great but are missing some very important things. We still need to complete the bathroom, kitchen and basement. Please continue to share our project. WE still NEED you and appreciate all of our donors. Bless you all!
