As a result of all your support, Roots Community Health Center's Oakland Homecoming House is now completely furnished and ready for move in! Since the launch of our campaign in November, we have raised $10,064, surpassing our original goal of $10,000.
Our staff have been working hard to put together a welcoming home for our new residents, building out programming and support services. We have hired a House Manager, and we are so excited to soon welcome seven residents into their new home and start them on the path to stable housing and employment.
Oakland Homecoming residents will acquire job skills, training, and experience at Roots' Clean360 social enterprise while engaging in community building and life skills workshops.
