Getting the right nutrition is vital during cancer treatment helps a child overcome infections and have a speedy recovery. Most families of children admitted to Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) cannot afford the healthy foods they need. “All the children in the ward suffer from some nutritional challenge which complicates treatment and impacts survival.” said Dr. Trish, a volunteer paediatric oncologist.

Provide children in cancer ward access to Plumpy'nut® to treat malnutrition and local healthy food to prevent malnutrition. The food helps children maintain a healthy weight, build stronger immune systems and successfully complete cancer treatments.

Long-Term Impact

Better nutrition leads to a higher completion rate of cancer therapy, faster recovery, and more children's lives saved. A faster recovery time means that children regain health faster and can return to normal family lives sooner.
