Girls living in disadvantaged communities can face multiple barriers to completing their education, including poverty, menstrual challenges, early pregnancy, household responsibilities, social pressure and limited access to accurate information.
The Nurture 200 Lives Program will provide targeted support to vulnerable girls while engaging parents, schools and communities to create conditions that enable girls to remain in education and pursue their aspirations.
Donor support will contribute toward essential school materials and other practical interventions that can reduce barriers to attendance. The program will also provide age-appropriate education on sexual and reproductive health, personal safety, healthy relationships, menstrual health and decision-making.
Mentorship will help girls develop confidence, leadership skills, goal-setting abilities and a stronger understanding of the opportunities available to them. Rather than focusing only on immediate challenges, the program will encourage girls to imagine and plan for their future.
Parents and caregivers will be included because their support can have a significant influence on whether girls remain in school. Community engagement will address harmful attitudes and encourage families to value girls’ education and protection.
The program will also promote safeguarding and appropriate referral mechanisms for girls facing serious protection concerns.
For donors, investing in vulnerable girls creates impact that can extend beyond one child. An educated and empowered girl can have greater opportunities to build a secure livelihood, make informed decisions and contribute positively to her family and community.
Through this initiative, we seek to nurture children today while investing in stronger families and communities tomorrow.
With sustained donor partnership, 200 vulnerable children—particularly girls facing barriers to education—can receive the support, knowledge and encouragement needed to pursue their dreams with dignity.
