Emergency Scholastic Materials Appeal: 120 Rescued Children at Risk of Exclusion

By Naijuka aggie | Project leader

Dear Donors,

On behalf of the entire team and the children we serve, I extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support. Thanks to your past contributions, we successfully met the scholastic needs of 200 vulnerable children during the previous term. Your generosity provided exercise books, pens, mathematical sets, uniforms, and backpacks, ensuring that no child missed a single day of learning due to a lack of basic supplies. Attendance improved significantly, and academic performance rose markedly—direct results of your partnership with us.

However, as we prepare for the coming term, we face a critical gap. Out of the 200 children now enrolled under this program, available resources will only meet the needs of 80. The remaining 120—including young children as young as seven who were recently rescued from abandonment and found burning charcoal in forests—will have nothing. These children arrived with no supplies, no uniforms, and no means to participate in class when the term starts in two weeks.

We have finalized a procurement plan for notebooks, pencils, erasers, rulers, school bags, and uniforms. Suppliers are ready, and we can distribute materials within days. But without additional support, most of these rescued children will be excluded from learning.

Your past contributions proved that timely action changes lives. Now, we urgently ask you to help us close this gap—so that every rescued child can walk into their first day of school with dignity and hope.

With sincere appreciation,

F SSIBU MISSION FOUNDATION-UGANDA
