A New School Year-and Room to Keep Growing

On September 7, the classrooms at Grace & Glory Academy once again came alive as 200 children began a new school year. In a country where instability continues to disrupt daily life and place education beyond the reach of far too many children, the start of school is something worth celebrating.

For our students, Grace & Glory Academy is more than a place to attend classes. It is a safe, loving environment where they can learn, grow, build friendships, and imagine what their futures might hold. Each child who walked through the school’s doors this September brought unique talents, dreams, and potential—and a determination to keep learning.

This year also marks an important season of growth for the Academy. Construction is underway to create the additional classrooms needed for our older students. Currently, some secondary classes must meet in the school’s multipurpose meeting hall. The expansion will provide dedicated learning space as students advance into higher grades while helping the Academy maintain its official Ministry of Education license.

The masonry work has been completed, and the next phase includes adding a sheet-metal roof designed to protect the new space until a permanent concrete roof can be completed in the future. The cost of the current construction project is approximately $20,000.

The school is also working to replace critical components of its solar power system. Although the solar panels remain in good condition, the inverter, batteries, and charge controller need to be replaced. Reliable electricity powers the school’s water pump, provides fans for the youngest children’s classrooms, and supports the laptops and equipment used by teachers and administrators. The cost of restoring the system is $3,520.

Together, these projects represent something much greater than walls, roofing, batteries, and equipment. They mean room for students to continue their education, water for drinking and sanitation, relief from the heat for young learners, and the dependable infrastructure a growing school needs.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helps make this work possible. Your generosity is creating a place where 200 children can begin another year surrounded by people who believe in them.

As we celebrate this new beginning, we invite you to help us continue building—not only classrooms and reliable power, but opportunity, stability, and hope.

Together, we can give every child room to learn and the power to grow.
