Thanks to so many of you, Norwood Life Care Foundation has now secured a spot on GlobalGiving. The resources that are available to us will make us a much more responsive, effective and efficient organization. We couldn't have done it without your help!
A bit of very exciting news to announce: During the course of the competition, Norwood Life Care Foundation has established a relationship with the Master Gardener's program from the University of Illinois extension campus. Starting in the spring of 2010, our campus will serve as an officially recognized site for Master Gardener candidates to do their required volunteer hours. This will have a major impact on our project in so many different ways: 1. The overall cost of the project will go down, as the need for labor expenses decreases. 2. The quality of our gardens will no doubt go up, as we glean the professional knowledge from our new group of volunteers, and 3. Most importantly perhaps, a whole new group of people will come to learn about the innovative programs and amazing care that seniors receive through the Norwood Life Care Foundation family of organizations.
As a result, our page may be inactive for a few days, while we edit the anticipated monetary needs of the program based on this exciting development.
But be sure to check back often, so you can see the progress we are making.
