Report on the Purchase of a New Building for Noor Association for Persons with DisabilitiesIntroduction
Since its establishment, Nour Association for Persons with Disabilities has been committed to providing services and support to individuals with special needs in Bethlehem, especially in Aida and Al-Azza refugee camps. With the increasing demand for the association's services and the expansion of its scope of work, it has become essential to secure a new building to improve the quality of services and provide a suitable environment for beneficiaries. Accordingly, the association has purchased a new building with a total cost of $500,000. However, only a small portion of the amount has been paid, and the association still needs to raise the remaining funds.
Current Status of the Building
The association has contracted to purchase the building for a total amount of $500,000, and so far, only a small initial payment has been made. The new building will enable the association to expand its programs and provide more comprehensive services to children and adults with special needs in the community.
Need for Financial Support
The association is facing a difficult economic situation due to the challenging circumstances in Palestine, particularly in Bethlehem. The association has been significantly affected by recent events, including the war on Gaza and the suffering of Palestinian refugees in the camps. Moreover, the war that broke out on October 7 has further exacerbated the economic crisis, making it difficult to cover operational expenses. This has led to the unfortunate suspension of rehabilitation staff due to a lack of funding.
Payment Plan for the Remaining Amount
To complete the purchase of the new building, the association has developed a payment plan to raise the remaining $500,000 over the coming years. The details of the plan are as follows:
Urgent Need for the New Building
Expected Impact of the New Building
Call to Donors and Partners
We issue an urgent appeal to all individual donors and local and international institutions to contribute to covering the costs of the new building. The association's continued provision of its services largely depends on your support. We hope that efforts will be intensified to help us achieve this noble goal, which will benefit hundreds of children and families who rely on the association's services.
Conclusion
The purchase of the new building for Nour Association for Persons with Disabilities is a strategic step towards improving the services provided to individuals with special needs in Bethlehem and surrounding areas. However, the association requires continuous financial support to achieve this goal. We call on everyone to contribute to covering the building costs to ensure the continuity of the association and to strengthen the resilience of the Palestinian community in facing challenges.
