In the Democratic Republic of Congo, young girls constitute a group of the most marginalized people, they generally experience problems of sexual and gender-based violence. In developing this project, we plan to raise awareness of peace and non-violence through the Alternatives to Violence Program "AVP" approach, human rights training for school leaders, local authorities, parents to show them the intrinsic values of the girl as such. 80 young girls,40 heads and 100 parents will be trained.
The young people girl from Uvira and Fizi are exposed to risks social ,environmental and health. violence made to young people girls in the local community are not documented and result in sexually transmitted infections transmissible , their rights are not respected , they are manipulated and influenced by ignorance, customs and traditions retrograde prohibit girls and women from coming to the estate of their deceased parents , which creates conflicts family .
This project is designed to contribute to young girls knowing their rights and the preventive measures against STIs, Create an environment In which young people girls and others community members can gather and work in a climate harmonious . Reduce cases of violence for social cohesion within communities, Promoting the culture of peace , non-violence through capacitybuilding on the AVP ( Altenatives to Violence Project) approach .
This project will have a positive impact on our local community. 80 young girls aged 14 to 20 will be trained on the protection and rights of young girls. 40 heads of establishments, teachers, local authorities, civil society actors, parents will be trained on the rights of young girls. 100 parents from different communities will be trained on the right to inheritance without distinction of gender. 40 girls who are victims of violence will benefit from psychosocial support.
