This project will provide free books and literacy support services through Mobility Teaching Sessions for at least 300 illiterate girls and women in Albania, coming from marginalized groups such as victims of trafficking, early marriages, domestic violence, Roma minority etc.
Marginalized groups such as victims of trafficking, early marriages, domestic violence in Albania continue to face limited access to public services. These girls and women have little education, low awareness on rights and entitlements, fostered also by a status of inferiority. In Albania, 61% are Roma women and girls over 10 years old are illiterate. They are often denied and/or delayed services, because of their illiteracy.
The project will empower 300 girls and women coming from marginalized groups such as victims of trafficking, early marriages, domestic violence etc, by improving their literacy levels, enhancing their understanding on civil rights and entitlements for equal services to all citizens. It will be implemented in Tirana, Shkodra, Elbasan, Pogradec, Korca, Durres, Gjirokastra, Grabian) and Fier. The project will improve literacy level through mobile teaching/library for dis advantaged groups.
The project will provide literacy and basic civil knowledge for 300 disadvantaged girls/women in Albania, allowing them to rise out the poverty and increase the equal participation in public services.
