"Nir was a very giving person. He loved to smile and believed that the sky wasn't the limit, if only you dare. He loved the nature and explored the world and the land of Israel through the wilderness. He fell in battle field saving the life of his commander.

In his death he commanded us to continue his path. Not with words, but through his spirit. Have I ever met Nir? The answer is no. Not ever. Do I know Nir? Yes, without a doubt.

You wonder how? Nir's spirit is in every one of us.

Four years ago I joined Nirim, It was my first trek that summer and I knew right the way that I found a new family. Every member in this family will tell you that once you're in, it's for good. In his death Nir commanded us to live. Live a full life with no walls, a life full of faith, consistency and to give with no will to gain back."
