Protect and Inspire Street Connected Children in Nepal

By Caroline Emlyn Jones | Fundraiser

Through your incredible support,  we continue to run our street shelter, however, this is only a small part of our work. We thought you would be interested to learn about our other programmes.

Empowering Lives, Shaping Futures

Our work continues to reach thousands of children and families over the year by:

  • Delivering  life skills sessions to 1,737 children in Pokhara and Butwal.
  • Providing inclusive sports coaching to more than 2,500 students weekly.
  • Equipping 657 children with essential educational materials so that they can attend school.
  • Running community hubs and vocational training, where we give young people the tools to thrive. The hubs have also hosted 16 parent support groups - all now engaged in regular learning sessions.
  • Our Breaking Boundaries cricket programme reaches over 2,000 children who are involved in regular cricket sessions, and the recent annual tournament attracted 600 children (300 boys and 300 girls) representing 20 schools.

Child Protection

We continue to make significant strides in child protection and advocacy.

  • In Butwal, Child Rights Committees have been established and trained in every ward
  • Pokhara has developed one of the country’s first Child Rights Strategies establishing a framework to address the most important issues facing children.
  • On the ground, 172 street-connected and working children have been reintegrated with their families.
  • Regular workplace monitoring continues both to prevent child labour and to promote safer environments for young people.

Your support is not only shaping lives today - it's shaping brighter futures for generations to come. We are deeply grateful for your support..

With best wishes
