Hello Donors, it has been a busy summer already. We are in kitten season full swing, helping to bottle feed kittens without mothers, and taking care of nursing mothers. All animals are spayed or neutered before adoption, tested for key feline diseases, treated for parasites, and up to date on vaccinations. Our wonderful donor community has been so generous helping to provide kitten formula and food that goes so quickly with many mouths to feed. Thank you!
We have big news for our construction progress! We have met our fundraising goal for installation of an HVAC system at the shelter! This will provide temperature control, and fresh air exchange required to reduce the spread of any disease. We are so excited to get started on this project. The contractor is currently working on engineering and permits, we hope to begin by end of August.
In other construction news, we are currently installing FRP on the walls in areas where animals are housed. This non-pourous materials meets sanitation requirements, and it's the right thing to do for our animals and staff/volunteers. The dog kennel area is nearly complete, cat kennel areas and lobby will start this week.
We are so thankful for our donors, we could not do this without you!!
