Happy New Year!
As we begin a new year, and reflect on our past year, we have much to be thankful for. In 2017 you helped us help 183 dogs and 395 cats find new forever homes! In addition to adoptions, we helped reunite 89 lost dogs with thier families; and provide critical medical attention to many animals. Our medical expenses totaled over $54,000 in 2017, which includes spay/neutering for 374 animals. We are so grateful to our local veterinarians who provide excellent care to each animal at reduced cost.
For 2018 we are projecting continued growth to meet the needs of our community. Newberg Animal Shelter relies solely on adoption fees, contributions from citizens, local businesses, and fundraisers. We are profoundly grateful for the support of our community. This support allows us to provide shelter, food, and needed medical care for the homeless animals in our community. Every adopted animal is spayed/neutered, treated for parasites, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
We closed the year with one of our favorite events, Pictures with Santa! Enjoy the pictures of a few shleter pets, adopted into loving families.
