Currently there is not a safe house for minor victims of Sex Trafficking in the Pacific NW. We are opening a safe house that will provide a safe, caring, and respectful environment for victims to recover in mind, body, and soul. This all-inclusive approach at rehabilitation will be facilitated through professionally trained care providers that assist victims in getting back to a normal lifestyle.
There are approxiametly 250,000 children being trafficked for the sex industry in the United States. The Pacific Northwest is one of the worst areas for Sex Trafficking for Minors. There is not a safe house currently in the Pacific Northwest devoted to victims of sexual exploitation of minors. We will be building and opening a safe house for girls from the age of 12-17 years of age to gain the necessary rehabilitation for their compound trauma in mid 2013.
We will be providing a home that provide a safe environment that is all inclusive with the professional care to assist victims in restoration and repairing them back to a normal lifestyle. This care facility will offer the following attention and counseling to their needs: Drug and Alcohol, Emotional, Physical, Pschological, Mental, Relational, Educational, and life skill building programs. These programs will be designed specifically to address the compound issues associated with abuse.
Although we provide the community with prevention and awareness training, the home allows the victims the ability to address their deep issues while also addressing what is necessary to become a viable community member. This also removes a victim from being homeless or living under duress and gives them tools to become a productive member of the community.
