Over the last six months, three businesses that raised funds through our Crowdlending Platform for Positive Impact paid off their loans. We have closely monitored these businesses over the years, understanding how best to support them during crises and financial difficulties. In some cases, we had to negotiate new terms and reach agreements, based on patient and empathetic capital.
Learn a little more about the organizations that paid off their loans:
CCampo Alimentos is an agricultural cooperative based in Santarém, Pará, that aims to strengthen family farming and bring regional products to consumers.
Flavia Amadeu is a materials and design agency that develops and markets products derived from native rubber sourced from the natural latex of rubber trees in the Amazon Rainforest.
COOPASMIG is a cooperative of family farmers and agro-extractivists in the municipality of São Miguel do Guamá, in northeastern Pará, committed to promoting cooperativism and benefiting the local community.
"More than 80 investors believed in us, and I am certain that without this support from Sitawi, the cooperative would have closed down. It was the support that gave the cooperative a much-needed boost, allowed it to regain the members' trust, and enabled it to honor its contracts on time," says a representative from CCampo Alimentos.
This is what we believe in: the transformative power of empathetic and patient capital. We thank the donors who supported our actions towards Impact Investment.
