Dear Supporter,
If you have not heard already through our Dharamsala Animal Rescue Newsletter, all of the needed funds were raised for our new ambulance. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and kindness.
Unfortunately, due to ongoing monsoon season, one of the worst in years, we have not been able to order the new vehicle which needs customization as it cannot be completed during this time. Landslides have caused unbelieveable road and building damage, as well there has been loss of life.
For DAR specifically, we have been unable to run our catch and release spay/neuter program due to the weather (sutures do not heal well and the risk of infection is too high) and our buildings are falling apart structurally and the electricity will need complete rewiring once the rain has stopped.
I promise to send photos of the new ambulance once we have it. Thank you for your patience.
