The Virgin Islands Children's Museum aims to improve the safety of the museum while beautifying the space. Donations will help with the purchase of 68 cases of plank to cover over 1,600 square feet of museum floor as well as the tools & staff hours needed to install the material. Yes, the VICM staff plans to install the flooring themselves to save on instillation costs & gain some new carpentry skills! Please help the VICM help families Explore, Play, Discover in a safe & pretty museum space.
Kids regularly kicked up the existing carpet tiles and the old, broken and uneven tile underneath is not acceptable in such a high traffic environment.
Vinyl plank flooring will give families a safer place to play and make cleaning and maintaining a healthy learning environment an attainable goal for museum staff.
A healthier and more aesthetically pleasing museum space will improve perceptions of the museum and help us build a stronger community support network.
