We're looking for 16 people to give $1,000 each. If you can't give $1,000, we're looking for people to be our NAA Sweet 16 ambassadors-donate a gift of $16 or more to NAA, share the "Sweet Sixteen" post on your social media pages. Be part of the future of NAA and continue to support Newcomers in New Hampshire.
For 15 years, New American Africans have provided tangible support for hundreds of newcomers in NH. For most that history, we have used a direct services approach. This approach provides tempory and immediate help but has not the long term transformation we believe is possible in our communities to thrive. We know we have to do things differently.
Today we are significantly shifting the trajectory of our work to advocacy and organizing through coordination of informal leaders from several African communities. We recognize that both providing services AND creating pathways for our communities to advocate for themselves will be our way forward.
Through your support, NAA will work to build an alliance that can coordinate action, communications, and networking across the New Hampshire New American African population. Your support will also help us continue our important youth work including our homework help, traditional dance, summer literacy, and college visit initiatives.
