This CPRT centre will take 50 children off the streets in Balochistan protecting them from abuse, slavery and a life of crime. Our project has been successful in 13 centres in 9 cities across the country and already transformed the lives of our children in CPRT centres by inspiring them to leave the streets and join main stream education.
Children in major cities of Balochistan including Quetta are left to roam the streets unsupervised exposing them to abuse and a life of crime. They miss out on their childhood while spending it on garbage dumps working for a living as young as 4 years old. The risks for life threatening disease in such an environment is very high. CPRT helps provide a safe and learning environment for these street children.
CPRT takes these children off the streets and allows them to enjoy their childhood while inspiring them to lead a fulfilling life in main stream education. We help them learn in classrooms while take them to museums, libraries, archaeological sites, picnics, pleasure parks to broaden their horizons while having fun. We treat them as our children. Most of our children are aready in schoos and others are waiting to be admitted to schools.
Our program has already transformed the lives of many children and has brought a change in the mind sets of their parents. This has started a ripple effect and the communities where these children live has started to understand the importance of education and hygiene.
