Summary

On August 26th, 2026, an avalanche triggered a series of floods along the Trishuli River, striking dozens of settlements in Nepal's Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts. The floods affected the Gyirong Port area on the Chinese-Nepal border, an important gateway for cross-border trade and tourism. Flash floods and mudslides caused damage to communities, more than 600 confirmed deaths and rising in Nepal. The project will raise funds to provide emergency aid to those affected by this catastrophic event.
