Dear All Friends,
We are already well-grounded in Kathmandu and established an office located at Gwarko 17, opposite road of B n B Hospital, Gwarko 17, opposite road of B n B Hospital,Patan, Kathmandu. Then we are starting to distribute hygiene kits via our volunteers who knows the area very well and who can identify those most in need. This period we are able to distribute a total of 2,750 packs of hygiene kits comprising soap, tootbrush, toothpaste and sanitary napkins. Some are requesting tents and we allocated some budget for 200 tents.
Then we are partnering with the Grameen Clubhouse located in Sunsari in order to distribute hygiene kits in remote districts. We have allocated 3,000 packs for this initiative. The Grameen Club request urgently for simple toilets so that people will not defecate in the open ground and have some dignity. We will be moving in this direction soon and using local materials available in the area and thus replicating what we are doing with survivors of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
