By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our initiative to provide food security by providing vegetable seeds and garden tools to poor households here. We are working in partnership with a youth association that is active in providing much-needed manpower to reach-out to those living in remote areas. We found out that raising vegetables is easy and produces good results for gardeners. This reporting period we decided to send 75 packs open-pollinated seeds that gardeners can use over and over again. We teach them also to let some of the plants mature, flower and bear seeds with these seeds to be harvested for the next cropping season. In this way they will no longer be dependent on commercial seeds but have already ready supply that they can easily access. Our choice of seeds are lady's finger, tomato, squash and eggplant.
Again, thank you very much for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
