Building Preparedness and Resilience: New Steps in Community Support

Dear Friends,

We are back to share some recent updates on how we’re strengthening our approach to disaster risk reduction (DRR). In the past few months, our team has taken big steps to prepare for emergencies and support our communities with resilience and care.

Highlights and Key Initiatives

  1. Expanded Community Health Team: We've added more trained healthcare staff to our team, especially Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), to make sure there’s always someone on hand to help. Whether it’s everyday health needs or emergency situations, having this team available around the clock means a lot to the communities we serve.
  2. Boosting Medical Supplies and Emergency Resources: One of our main goals has been to keep our clinic stocked with all the essential medicines we might need, especially when access becomes difficult during emergencies. Alongside this, we’ve prepared emergency kits that are packed and ready to go. These kits have been carefully put together to help our team respond right away when disaster strikes.
  3. Central Support and Emergency Shelters: Our central office team is in closer coordination with our field teams now, ready to step in with guidance and support as soon as it’s needed.

These initiatives may sound simple, but they reflect our deep commitment to being there for the communities we work with, especially in their most challenging moments. Thank you for being there with us and making all of this possible. We’re grateful to have your support on this journey.

Warm regards
PHASE Nepal Team
