April 2017 Report Navajo Horses Rescue

By Katia Louise | Director

Wild for Life Foundation’s (WFLF) Navajo Horse Rescue and Recovery Mission (NHRRM) is a lifesaving program which provides emergency rescue and placement services for wild horses, burros and orphan foals that that have been victimized by roundups or found in life threatening danger. They come to us traumatized, shattered, desperate and betrayed. Through our Rescue and Recovery Mission we provide lifesaving aid and care for an average of one hundred wild and domestic horses and burros annually. With us they find love, quality care, safety, compassion, dignity, trust, hope and a new beginning.

Through this program we've saved over fifty imperiled Navajo Mustangs, ages 6 weeks -5 years old, including several pregnant mares and many orphan foals. Sadly they were on the verge of shipping to slaughter after being captured in New Mexico (NM). The Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF) has stepped up in troubled times and saved hundreds of America's horses and burros who had fallen victim to brutal government sanctioned roundups and to America's cruel slaughter pipeline, and other forms of cruelty like starvation.

However at WFLF rescue is just the beginning of a long, dedicated commitment to provide the best quality of life for the wild horses and burros that come into our sanctuary program. We are dedicated to assuring their lifelong safe harbor, which requires continued financial support from caring people who want to make a difference and have the means to donate. It takes all of working together to assure they receive the care and protection they need.

The Wild For Life Foundation seeks your assistance in sharing information about this important cause with your friends and family.  Will you share this message with just five of your friends?

As the remaining number of Wild Horses in the U.S. nears extinction, education and appreciation through the protection and observation of Wild Horses in safe and natural sanctuary environments becomes tantamount to their survival as a species. America’s Wild Horses cannot be reproduced once they are gone.

Wild for Life Foundation is an all volunteer 501 c3 charity and we rely 100% on donations. Your continued kind support enables us to provide everything from veterinary medical care, to hoof care, to nutritional hay and feed, to safe habitat spaces and enrichment. Indeed the Wild For Life Foundation delivers an important public service by providing a place where orphaned, distressed, injured, or displaced horses and burros get a second chance at life and are able to thrive peacefully.

Together, we are their voice, and they need to be heard.

As always we thank you for your support for this important cause.

Sincerely,

Katia Louise, President
