We are pleased to report that the Navajo Mustangs are settling in nicely to their new habitat at WFLF's equine facilitiy in Temecula, CA. Thanks to your continued kind and meaningful donations, these innocent victims who had lost and suffered so much are able to heal in a safe and peaceful environement, and rebuild family bonds. Your donations are helping to pay for nutritious hay, quality veterinary care, Farrier care and quality safe habitats.
The last of the surviving Navajo Mustangs rescued through the Navajo Horses Rescue and Recovery Mission arrived and reunited with their family members just in time for the 2014 year-end holidays. Five of the mares were pregnant at the time of their rescue and have since given birth to healthy fillies and colts who have been able to run free in the wild horse nursery space with their mothers and other Mustang babies in their age group. They have been learning invaluable socialization skills which are vital to their cultural survival as a species. It's amazing how much they've grown and how far they all have come. The balance of the herd is enjoying their freedom in the adjacent multi-acre natural habitat environment.
WFLF is dedicated to assuring the forever safe harbor of all rescue horses under its umbrella, which means seeing that their housing, feed and care is provided for the lifetime of each horse. Rescue is just the beginning of a long, dedicated endeavor to provide the best quality of life for these majestic refugees. The Wild for Life Foundation needs your continued support now in order to aid these and other victimized wild horses in need.
Wild for Life Foundation, an all volunteer 501 c3 charity that relies 100% on donations is working around the clock to assure the forever safe harbor for these and other wild and domestic equines. Your continued kind support enables us to provide everything from veterinary medical care, to farriers, to nutritional hay and feed, to nursery and foaling enclosures to safe natural habitat spaces and beyond. Wild For Life Foundation delivers an important public service by providing a place where orphaned, distressed, injured, or displaced horses and burros get a second chance at life and are able to thrive in natural habitats. Your continued monetary donations make it possible to provide the vital care and living space these victimized Mustangs need.
As the remaining number of Wild Horses in the U.S. nears extinction, education and appreciation through the protection and observation of Wild Horses in natural sanctuary environments becomes tantamount to their survival as a species. America’s Wild Horses cannot be reproduced once they are gone.
WFLF’s Navajo Horse Rescue and Recovery Mission (NHRRM) is an ongoing effort to rescue and re-home wild horses, burros and orphan foals that are at risk of slaughter or that have been victimized by roundups. Our gentle, soothing rescue and rehabilitation process is allowing rescued fillies and colts to heal in calm and safe environments. As rescued horses heal, their successful transitions to educational Ambassadors create a lasting impact on the public for more humane and positive care of horses.
The Wild For Life Foundation needs your continued support and respectfully seeks your assistance in sharing information about our mission with your friends and family. We can’t do this work without you. You make our healing and lifesaving work possible.
We thank you for your continued support of our work on behalf of the horses. Together we can make a huge difference now and for generations to come.
