Great news! Wild for Life Foundation (WFLF) is pleased to announce that its rescue Navajo mustangs are safe and once again enjoying peaceful harbor. Their peaceful sanctuary became at risk in December during the Southern California wild fires.
Now in our 10th year of operation, the Wild For Life Foundation has long leased equine properties in Southern California’s rural communities to serve and house at-risk horses from California and from across the country. But when wild fires and other disasters hit, these calamities place a severe stain on local animal charities like WFLF, as resources for rescue animals are oftentimes tapped due to the great number of animals in need of charitable rescue and sanctuary services. Competing demands for pasture space by commercial livestock interests and the need to turn a profit by agricultural Lessor(s) add to the difficult challenges faced by small but effective charities like WFLF to carry out our life saving mission without having property of our own.
We are not out of the dark, but we are extremely thankful for the continued wide showing of support for our dedicated work on behalf of at risk animals in need. With kind and generous assistance from caring and compassionate supporters like you, WFLF is securing safe harbor habitats and the essential provisions needed to provide for the continuum of quality care and protection these and other at risk equines deserve.
WFLF continues to provide rescue and sanctuary services for a number of rescue Navajo mustangs whose lives had become at risk due to roundups and slaughter. Ongoing donations are needed to help assure safe and peaceful environment for these majestic animals who have already been through so much. You can help make this possible through this GlobalGiving project.
