Don Bosco Summer Camp 2017
Summer Green 2017
Summer Green- Change is the law of nature. the mind set of people are changed with regard to the nature preservation. they started to exploit the nature in the forms of throwing out the plastic waste outside, the present generation is least bothered about the harmful effects of not preserving our nature.
It is in this context that Don Bosco Veedu Society decided to come up with an innovative concept of summer camp for children aimed at inculcating good practices on preserving the nature – all through entertainment, observation, hands on experience and group activities.
This innovative camp provided children with the first-hand experience in solid waste management and awareness generation through infotainment and fun. "Durring the bigining of the camp the children are not aware about cleaning the premises. They just throw away the chocolate wrappers inside the venue, but later on their was a significant difference in the attitude of children that started to pick up the wrappers deposited it in the dustbins". This shows the attitudunal change among the children due to the summer green.
one of the major attraction of the Summer camp 2017 was the session handled by the snake master Mr. Vava Suresh an Indian wildlife conservationist and a snake expert. He is known for his missions for saving snakes straying into human inhabited areas in Kerala. His message to the children where mind blowing, the session lead by the expert helped the children to be future conservationist.
