The Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon celebrated National Feral Cat Day (October 16) by spaying/neutering 126 cats! We also sent out 6 teams of volunteers and distributed 225 flyers to businesses – our first effort of this kind and it was very well received. Volunteers wore National Feral Cat Day buttons that we made and were armed with maps, flyers, tape and thumb tacks. Banks, restaurants, stores, and offices were all approached and the word about feral cats was spread!
