Biodiversity Survey
Wetland is one of the important habitat and play vital roles in ecosystem due to which wetland biodiversity survey executed to document flora and fauna of the wetland habitat. The wetland survey identified 38 species fauna and 28 species of flora in wetland habitat.
Education and awareness
To educate and aware local community about wildlife, forest importance and wildlife protection act meeting was taken in villages such as Shrungarpur, Karjuve, Konde, Kasar kolvan, kudawale, and Panhali in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra. 3224 pictorial story book ‘Secret Lives of Pangolin’in local languages were distributed in the schools across Ratnagiri district. The book introduces the entire life of Pangolin and importance in the way of storytelling such activity will help to bring young minds more closely to the nature.
Plantation drives
To ensure tree species survival SNM visits timely to take care of plants with the local community support across the region. At regular interval of time fertilizers, removal of weeds and other works were done with local community to ensure the survival of plants. SNM is also inspiring people by providing native species plants or any other type of help they need to take care of the plants.
