Quarterly Report August 2026– Mwangaza wa Haki Tanzania
(The Light of Justice #73946)
Strengthening Our Capacity to Build Ethical Leaders in Tanzania
This quarter marked another important step in strengthening TAJPI's capacity to implement Mwangaza wa Haki Tanzania (The Light of Justice Tanzania). Our representatives, Benson Tilya and Christina Myovela, participated in the 2026 Tanzania Human Rights Defenders Coalition (THRDC) Annual General Meeting, where civil society leaders, development partners, and government representatives discussed the future of civic engagement, human rights, and sustainable civil society in Tanzania.
The meeting reinforced an important message: promoting human rights, justice, transparency, and integrity is not the responsibility of civil society organizations alone—it is a shared responsibility that belongs to every member of society. We also gained valuable knowledge on organizational sustainability, local resource mobilization, digital communication, and building stronger partnerships to serve communities more effectively. These lessons will directly strengthen the implementation of Mwangaza wa Haki Tanzania, particularly our work in civic education, ethical leadership, and media literacy for youth and women.
We are especially grateful to a local supporter who generously covered our travel and accommodation costs, making our participation possible. This act of solidarity reminds us that meaningful change is built not only through financial resources but also through people who believe in the power of community and shared responsibility.
Although we did not receive direct financial contributions to this project during this reporting period, our work continues through volunteer commitment, in-kind support, and the dedication of our team. Every workshop, school visit, and community dialogue brings us closer to our vision of raising a generation that is rooted in values, guided by truth, and prepared to lead with integrity.
We warmly invite you to become part of this journey. Your donation will help us expand civic education, strengthen ethical leadership among youth and women, and promote peaceful participation, justice, and accountability across Tanzania.
Together, we can help build a future where culture gives young people roots, knowledge gives them wings, and justice lights their path.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for standing with the people of Tanzania.
With sincere gratitude,
TAJPI Team
