The Muteff Community Health Care Services Project is designed to bring sustained, dependable health care services to our fellow human beings of the remote, rural community of Muteff. Specifically, we will purchase a small plot and construct a small Health Care Facility within this Community. There is no health care facility in this community with very bad roads where sick elderly, expecting mothers, infants have to walk or be carried on stretchers to nearest health facility 20 to 25 miles away.
Many people in Muteff, especially the elderly, expecting mothers, infants, have no access to basic health care services and many are dying in this remote, difficult-to-reach rural community from very easily treatable illnesses/diseases, such as malaria, infected wounds, cough, childbirth etc. The main problem is lack of sustained and dependable access to medical services. Expecting mothers walk over 25 miles to access prenatal care and give birth, those who attempt it lose their lives and baby.
This project is designed to solve this problem through: 1) construction of a small Health Care Facility in Muteff; 2) training and employing one nurse/midwife and one lab technician from Muteff; and 3) the purchase of basic, needed drugs/medication and medical supplies for the Health Care Facility. This will ensure people of Muteff have sustained, dependable, permanent access to needed health care services. Small treatment fees charged patients will pay workers and the cost of drugs and supplies
Your donation to this project will: 1) literally save lives; 2) provide medical training and employment for one nurse/midwife and one medical lab technician from this community; 3) assist in the construction of a permanent, small health care facility in this remote Community of Muteff; and 4) enable over 100,000 people of Muteff to improve and increase their farming productivity. A healthy population ensures increased farming activity, improved rural economy and much improved health and life.
