It feels like just yesterday that a handful of local volunteers launched our music program. It was Robert Ottis on piano, Calin Lisenbee on violen and Dave Zinaman on recorder. These three volunteers inspired a movement, which is really what DREAM has been all about since day one. Although we had little space, old instruments and spotty electricity, these three DREAMers forged a program out of their passion to help our kids and need to be a contributing part of their local community.
6 years later, our DREAM Music Program, which consists of our Contemporary Music Program and The iASO Bachata School @ DREAM, two innovative and life changing programs that work with hundreds of youth, promoting music education and supporting our academic programs.
This reached a creshendow this past November in our annual NYC Benefit, Sueños 2015, hosted by Grammy winner Henry Santos of Aventura and Grammy Nominee Leslie Grace. Please have a look at our video and the journey of both a special student and our program as a whole.
We thank you all for your incredible support, since day one, right along side Robert, Calin and Dave. Thanks to your donations, we have been able to create one of the country's most progressive music programs!
Feliz Navidad from all of us here at DREAM!
