With the pleasure of greeting you, and sharing with you our achievements, and thanking all our donors who join our noble cause, through the GLOBALGIVING platform, for their great support in continuing to provide our children and young people with DUCHENNE an integral treatment service to take care of their condition.
On this occasion, the donations received from January to April 2022, were used for their medical monitoring (CONSULTATIONS), which consisted of 103 consultations in different specialties such as: Neurology, Cardiology, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Orthopedics and Physiatry to our 74 Beneficiaries.
These medical consultations are very important, to be able to evaluate the progress of their condition and the repercussions on vital organs such as the heart, lung, and all your muscular support. Which help us to determine if they require other types of support, such as:Pulmonary rehabilitation consultations. - Support needs are seen with a "Specialized Medical Team", which is provided to our beneficiaries when their respiratory capacity is affected and indicates the use of a BIPAP Ventilator to support their respiratory function.
Cardiology Consultation. - The support needs for the functioning of the heart are seen, and studies are carried out of: Echocardiograms / Holter / electrocardiograms
Neurology / Orthopedics consultations. - Through these consultations, the special needs for mobility equipment are determined: such as manual / electric chairs / mobility cranes.
