MULTIART - Fourth Report

By Israel Neto | Project Manager

The project's area of activity expanded, as we found three other public schools in the region to implement the project. This way we reach more young people in vulnerable situations and who are willing to change their current situation.

The project aims to foster culture and promote personal and social transformations based on the aesthetic experience, experienced through a program of activities with different artistic languages such as visual, sound and performing arts, with the improvement of the workshops already implemented:

From PHOTOGRAPHY classes:

In these classes, students learned about the importance of photography as identity and culture. How the photographer identifies all the elements to compose a relevant photo essay that well represents the environment and influence around it.

The teacher left the task for the students to read books about famous photographers and who the best in the world are. With award-winning photographs and transmission of the techniques used.

From ORCHESTRA/BAND classes:

In these classes, the teacher continued the classes and repertoire training. These repertoire themes were addressed to improve and consolidate the technique so that the orchestra becomes increasingly more in tune and can reproduce the songs with excellence. The exercises were:
• D major scale with variations;
• Improvement of eighth notes and sixteenth notes;
• Rehearsed songs; Annunciation – improvement of ligatures;
• Canon - training of note changes together;
• Avengers – repertoire practice.

We also noticed that some students, naturally, are still at different levels of learning, so, for students who need more basic activities to retain, these were the activities:

• Loose rope exercise;
• Exercise of the Asa Branca repertoire;
• Pitch adjustment at the beginning of the song.

From AUDIO-VISUAL classes:

The students continued with activities on the following topics:
• Analysis of the result of a show and planning the next steps;
• Electronic resources applied to music.
• Practical recording exercise - fiction module
• Timelapse – development and functionality.
• Chroma Key
From THEATER classes:

The themes of the activities carried out were:

Theme: Gambling addictions
Theme: Cyberbullying and Fake News

Other topics covered and activities developed were the following:

Theme:

1) Body games and scene readings.
2) Improv scenes.
3) Interpretive readings
4) Improvisational games and scene readings.

DANCE classes.

Just like other activities, dancing requires training and repetition of the rehearsed steps, so in the month of June the students continued their “street dance” rehearsals.

In street dance, basic, natural movements, such as walking and jumping, are fully explored, as well as more complex movements, such as the backbeat, the arm and leg combination, fine hip movements, wave-like body movements, and shoulder movements.

The main objective of this style of class is playfulness, making it clear that various other coordinative skills are trained during the practice of street dance.

Com as atividades do projeto MULTIART, observamos que os alunos que participam das oficinas e aulas tiveram melhora nas notas nas atividades escolares regulares e maior comprometimento com a aprendizagem e redução nos índices de evasão.
