Still paralyzed by Covid-19... but looking forward to the future!
By Maria Luisa Chavez - Project Leader
Dear project supporters and donors,
Our project's activities are still paralyzed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The situation in Chiapas has been relatively contained, and our beekeepers are keeping it safe. Nevertheless, Mexico City is still fighting it's thoughest battle yet against the virus, adding up a growing number of people infected and people dying every day. This represents an umbreachable obstacle for our activities, especially because it keeps us from traveling. Fortunately, our field technician has been able to keep contact with some of the groups, and even visit some of them, providing us with enough information to know that they are healthy and preparing for this year's harvest season.
Please be sure that we are doing everything we can to keep the project active, looking forward to the future and hoping everything will be better soon.
We will keep you posted on any changes in our situation. Meanwhile, please take care of yourselve and your loved ones, and wear the mask!
